Hebrews 13:20-25
Key Verse:
Now may the God of Peace who brought again from the dead our Lord
Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant,
equip you with everything good that you may do His will, working in us that
which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever
and ever. Hebrews 13:20-21
Opening Reflection: Who or what brought you to church for the
first time?
·
Read through Hebrews 13:20-25 with an emphasis
on verses 20 and 21. How does this
benediction and closing encompass all of the writer’s purpose in writing to the
Hebrews?
·
Verses 20 and 21 serve as a reminder to us about
how and why God initiated the new, eternal covenant. What are the key elements of the new
covenant? What is God’s role? What is Jesus Christ’s role? What is yours?
·
What comes to mind when you think of God as the
“God of Peace”? How does this name
describe God’s intent in having a relationship with us?
·
In what specific ways does God “equip you with
everything good” to do His will? Are you
using those gifts to the fullest potential in your personal life? In work? In
church?
·
What is God working out in you right now? How can your Life Group pray for and
encourage you through the process?
