The Light

John 12
24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit
28 Father, glorify your name." Then a voice came from heaven: "I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again."
35 So Jesus said to them, "The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.
36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light."

Alone is wheat that is unbroken.
Death brings fruit.  Not just some fruit but much fruit.
Death brings life.  Death brings multiplication.  Death brings produce, the harvest.  Death brings bounty and sweetness.

For we must come to a place where we want to die to our own glory, our own honor, our own renown.  Instead we must align our desires to see the Father glorify Himself.  If the glory we seek is our own, we are the unbroken wheat.  Not changing and giving to bring more to pass but without anything else to bear.

We only have a little while to walk in the light, to live in a way that is different than all the flesh calls out in us.  The way where death seems the way to lose all.  If we don't walk when we can, when we are called to death-of-self, to allow space for the glory of the Father in our reflection, the the darkness may take over.  Lies of self-preservation my overwhelm our abandonment to the light and what it calls forth from our hearts.  Darkness is lostness.  A misguided way.

While you have, believe and become.

2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Turn your face to Him.  He gave the light, in our hearts to see who Jesus really is.  Our Savior, His Son.  This light illuminates to our minds what our hearts know.  The face of Jesus is the face of God.

John 14:7
If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.

See Him in the light.
